Volume bars tell you when the market was busy. A volume profile tells you where — which exact prices absorbed the most business, where value was accepted, and which levels the market rejected. VolumeLens computes it from live NSE volume, on every stock and index F&O contract.
The live session's volume distribution builds in real time as ticks arrive — POC and value area update with the market, so you always know which prices today's auction is accepting.
Drag across a rally, a base, a gap — FRVP computes the volume distribution for exactly that range. The POC of a consolidation is one of the most-watched reference levels in profile trading.
Point of control, value area high and low — marked automatically. These are levels derived from what traded, not from drawing-tool opinions.
The rare combination: volume profile alongside footprint charts, CVD and big-trade detection on the same NSE chart — see where volume built AND who was aggressive while it built.
Three readings cover most of the practice:
1. POC as a magnet and reference. The highest-volume price of a session or range is where the market found the most agreement. When price returns to a prior POC, profile traders watch how it reacts — acceptance or rejection there is information no moving average carries.
2. Value area edges as decision zones. Roughly 70% of business happens inside the value area. Price opening or trading outside it poses a question — is the market genuinely repricing, or will it rotate back to value? The volume profile explainer walks through both cases.
3. Low-volume nodes as fast lanes. Prices where almost nothing traded tend to be crossed quickly — the market has no established interest to defend there. Profiles make these thin zones visible before price hits them.
Everything above is descriptive market structure — where volume happened is a fact; what you do with it is your decision. VolumeLens is a screening and analysis tool — none of this is investment advice.

The honest caveat: if you only want a basic profile and already pay for a charting subscription, that works too. The case for VolumeLens is the combination — profile + order flow + AI on live NSE data, priced per-use in rupees.
A horizontal histogram of traded volume per price level. Its key outputs: the POC (highest-volume price) and the value area (the band holding ~70% of volume). It answers "where did the market do business?" — something time-axis volume bars can't show.
A profile computed over a range you select — drag across any candles and see that move's volume distribution, POC and value area. Available on VolumeLens NSE charts.
Yes — session and fixed-range profiles for NSE equities and index F&O, computed from live exchange volume.
Bars show when volume traded; the profile shows where. The profile is the one that turns volume into price levels you can actually reference.
Point of control (highest-volume price), value area high and value area low (the ~70% band's boundaries). Marked automatically on VolumeLens profiles.
