TradingView's volume footprint chart is available on its Premium and Ultimate plans, and its volume profile indicators start from the Essential plan. Below: which plan has what, how TradingView calculates buying and selling, what that means for NSE stocks and Nifty, and how order flow on VolumeLens differs.
Volume footprint charts are included only in the Premium and Ultimate plans. Basic, Essential and Plus do not include them (TradingView India pricing).
| TradingView plan | India price shown (per month, billed annually) | Volume footprint | Volume profile indicators | Second-based intervals | Tick-based intervals |

Prices are the "special price" TradingView India showed in September 2026, billed annually. TradingView notes that only the Ultimate plan is available to professional users.
According to TradingView's footprint guide, the volume footprint is built from lower-timeframe bars — ticks on professional plans, otherwise seconds or minutes. Each small bar's volume is counted as buying if it closed above its open and as selling if it closed below. TradingView also describes the study as repainting by design.
That is an estimate. A classic footprint assigns each trade to buyers or sellers by comparing it with the bid and the offer at the moment it traded. The two methods can give different numbers for the same candle, especially when many trades happen inside one small bar.
TradingView's built-in Cumulative Volume Delta indicator uses the same up-bar/down-bar approach. Its volume profile indicators likewise use "up/down volume" rather than buy/sell volume.
TradingView offers these volume profile tools (TradingView support): auto anchored, fixed range, periodic, session volume profile, session volume profile HD and visible range, plus fixed range and anchored drawing tools. They are available from the Essential plan upward.
For what each shape of profile describes — point of control, value area, high- and low-volume nodes — see volume profile explained.

Where TradingView fits better: charting across global markets, a very large indicator library, Pine Script and multi-asset watchlists. Where VolumeLens fits: order flow built for NSE instruments — footprint, CVD, depth and large trades from classified trades rather than bar closes — with an AI that describes it, priced per day instead of a yearly plan. Many traders use both.

No. In September 2026 TradingView lists volume footprint charts only on its Premium and Ultimate plans; the free Basic plan and the Essential and Plus plans do not include them.
Premium or Ultimate. TradingView India showed Premium at ₹4,195 a month billed annually in September 2026.
No. TradingView documents that it builds the footprint from lower-timeframe bars and counts a bar's volume as buying or selling depending on whether it closed up or down. That is an estimate, not bid/ask classification.
Yes, a built-in Cumulative Volume Delta indicator. It estimates delta from whether lower-timeframe bars closed up or down.
Auto anchored, fixed range, periodic, session, session HD and visible range volume profiles, plus fixed range and anchored drawing tools, from the Essential plan upward.
The footprint works on symbols with the required intraday data, and TradingView lists NSE real-time data at no charge. The buy/sell split is still estimated from bar closes rather than classified trade by trade.
Zerodha was not on TradingView India's broker list in September 2026. Zerodha's own Kite platform offers TradingView-based charts with trading from the chart.
