For 296 liquid Nifty 500 stocks, it shows how the classified trading volume of the last five NSE sessions (17 Sep 2026 to 23 Sep 2026) split between buy-initiated and sell-initiated trades, by stock and by sector, plus the balance of large trades.
Each trade from the live NSE feed is classified as buyer-initiated or seller-initiated by comparing its price with the best bid and offer at the time, with a tick-rule fallback. Buy-side share is buyer-initiated volume divided by all classified volume.
The report uses a streamed market feed, which samples trades rather than recording every exchange print. The split between buying and selling is the useful part; the absolute share counts are lower than NSE's totals.
After every NSE session, covering the five most recent sessions with order flow data.
No. It describes which side initiated more of the traded volume over the period. It does not show resting orders, intent or what happens next.
